Models Of Little Giant Ladder
The Little Giant ladders were initially classified as three different ladders on the basis of their capacity. The Type 1 has the capacity to hold 250 pounds, the Type 1A has the capacity to hold 300 pounds and the third Type 1AA, is currently discontinued. However, it had the capacity of 375 pounds. Wing Enterprise the manufacturer of Little Giant also offers ladders called Skyscraper for ceiling related work, Little Jumbo Safety Stepladder, Ultra Step, A-frame ladder. They also offer fiberglass ladders called “UltraLite”.
Locking System
The Little Giant ladder is a multifunctional ladder unit comprised of an inner ladder unit assembly and two outer unit assemblies that telescope over the inner.
1. The inner ladder assembly has 2 locking center hinges that allow the entire ladder system to be used in the following configurations:
a. A-frame
b. Extension
c. Stairwell
d. Scaffolding trestles
e. Storage
2. The locking mechanism on the two outer assemblies of the ladder help to adjust the length of the outer telescoping sections. This lock tab assembly fits in any rung of the inner ladder, allowing foot-by-foot adjustment on either end of the ladder.
3. Hinges permit to alter the configuration and shape of the ladder.
The locking system of the Little Giant ladders are all patented and it is the flexibility of the locking system that made Little Giant a popular ladder.
