Capacity Ratings Of The Little Giant System
The Little Giant ladders are available in different duty ratings in accordance with applicable ANSI and OSHA Standards. The Type 1AA Little Giant ladder system is a special duty ladder with capacity of 375 pounds. Little Giant Type 1A ladders are industrial extra heavy and rated to the capacity of 300 pounds and the Little Giant Type 1 Heavy has the duty rate of 250 pounds.
Little Giant Type 1A
The Little Giant is made of heavy-duty 6005-T5 aluminum and it possesses a workload capacity of 300 pounds. The ladder weighs about 40 pounds. The ladder could be configured into A-frame, extension and staircase ladders. They come in models of 13, 17, 22 and 26.
Little Giant Type 1
The Little Giant type 1 replaces 4', 5', 6' or 7' A-frame ladder systems. The Little Giant Type I also can become two scaffold trestles. The two Type1 models available are the Little Giant Model 17’ and the Model 22’.
Little Giant Little Jumbo Stepladder
The different models of Little Jumbo are two - step, three - step, and four - step models all incorporate wide slip-resistant step treads for maximum stability. All three models come with convenient fold-up safety bars and wheels for added security and ease of moving. The weight of the little Jumbo varies from 10 pounds to 25 pounds.
Tips To Maintain The Ladder
1. To ensure smooth operation, lubricate the hinge mechanism and lock tab assemblies with light machine oil every six months and prior to long-term storage.
2. Always store the ladder in a dry location out of the weather.
3. Keep rails clean so that ladder will slide easily.
4. Keep hinge mechanism free of dirt, salt spray, or other contaminants that could prevent proper operation.
5. Replace inner and outer feet as required to ensure safety.
6. Replace labels with label kit when labels become obscure, defaced, missing or difficult to read.
